High speed, multi-function, and economical operation are at the center of attention of the new SU18 and SU19 fiber optic sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs. To program the devices, simply position the object to be detected and press the teach-in button. The intelligent fiber optic sensors independently take care of such settings as switching point, optimum gain, etc.
By using the standard SU18 fiber optic sensor, the user can switch between standard, high resolution and high speed mode using a DIP switch, so that detection of the low contrast and/or fast moving objects is possible.
A highlight of the premium model SU19 is the high resolution four-digit display that shows a percentage readout, e.g., switching threshold values of 100.0% or functional reserves of 150.0%. Other special features include clear object detection and expansion unit capabilities.
